Hang-Up is an East London based contemporary art gallery located in the vibrant and bohemian neighbourhood of Stoke Newington. The gallery presents a dynamic exhibition program of fresh and forward thinking work from our roster of artists, photographers and makers. We show both young artists at the early stages of their careers alongside established names from the art world. We tie it together by seeking out and showing only those who are inherently creative, artists whom in some way break the mould from the traditional, pushing the boundaries either in terms of their work, their message or both.

Hang-Up was formed in 2008 as an online gallery, launching as a street art website specialising in highly collectible and sought after limited edition prints.and has now grown to become Europe's leading online urban art gallery. In addition to our extensive gallery inventory we have close links with a global network of galleries, publishers, dealers and private collectors enabling us to source specific artwork requests quickly and efficiently.

Having dealt in Banksy prints for the best past of a decade and with over 500 sales to date Hang-Up Gallery has also grown to become one of the worlds largest online dealers in original limited edition Banksy prints.

We pride ourselves in being able to do so quickly and efficiently regularly both selling and buying on behalf of our international client list.

"The level of interest for Banksy is phenomenal. On an average week we will receive over 100 phone and email enquiries with specific requests about his work" Gallery Director Nov 2014

In 2010 we launched Hang-Up Contemporary, a second online gallery dealing in contemporary editions, working closely with an international roster of established and emerging artists and publishers including Sir Peter Blake, Stanley Donwood, Anja Niemi, Russell Young, Harland Miller. Like Hang-Up Urban we deal in an even wider range of contemporary editions from established artists.

In 2013, following feedback from our customers, we took the decision to launch a new site that combines Hang-Up Urban, Hang-Up Contemporary and Hang-Up Gallery into one responsive website, optimised for however you choose to view it, on mobiles, tablets or desktops.

In 2014 we have continued to evolve that site with a more comprehensive homepage showcasing the best content, offering more contextual information on our gallery artists, a new video section, new categories to help you find work, and new FAQs to answer most questions.
In 2015 the team at Hang-Up Gallery have taken the decision to open a dedicated space housing a revolving collection of Banksy artworks. The aptly named 'Banksy Bunker’ situated on the lower ground floor of the Stoke Newington gallery space when it opens in the Spring of 2105 will display rare authentic signed and unsigned prints from 2003 to present day alongside canvas works and sculpture.

We hope you like it. and thank you for your continued support.
